THE critical care textbook

Civetta is a great comprehensive textbook for critical care. I am a 4th year surgery resident and the addition of the new surgical chapters is wonderful. The online full text is great too. Not a beginner critical care textbook but if you are looking for something advanced for management of critical care patients this is definitely the book. This is THE textbook for real critical care!!

Clear, easy to read book

I dont right many reviews, but I really enjoy reading from this textbook. I feel like I learn something new everytime, even if I've read certain topics before. Also, the information is very up to date, with some references from just a few years ago. I have not used the online text version, but am sure will start soon. I like the intro's with historical backgrounds on certain topics also.

The best

I have used this text since the first edition back in 1988. I have never found a better text on critical care medicine. Granted it is a big book that takes time to study, but it well worth the effort. I have almost 25 years in critical care and this is the text I go to.
